New 66 lbs Blacksmith Forged Steel Anvil with Round Horn – C051

I've only recently taken up blacksmithing and have just one class under my belt. I bought this anvil for a home forge setup and I've been really impressed with it. I have spent about 8hours using it for a variety of simple projects and It has not held me back. Most anvils in this price range only have one hole for dogs but this one has both a square and a round hole. The surface finish is perfectly good enough and apart from de-burring a few sharp edges i didn't have to do anything to it before using it. It shows no signs of dings or marks after mis-hits. It is readily mounted using the two mounting holes provided however you'll want to angle the holes to match the shoulder and use a wrench to tighten the lag bolts as access is tight. I was pleased to find out that C-clamps can readily be fastened under the main body of the anvil to secure work pieces or jigs in place while forging.
